When one sets out on a mission to buy something, often the retail world can feel like a jungle. Many of the stores appear to offer the same type of products, and similar prices. Some offer sales. Some have special online pricing. Some are super stores like Costco and others are smaller stores and neighborhood shops.  Than there are more and more consumer orientated online markets like amazon.com, priceline.com, or e-bay.

The good news though, is that there are a variety of money saving websites that will help you through the resale maze, whether your buying a new car, shoes, or stocks and bonds. You will find many helpful sites below:

If you are trying to find a great bargain, then check out Hotdeals.com. You can also go to the community bulltin board at Fatwallet.com, and Sickdeals.net.  You can find out where the current sales are, and can get coupons that you can print out and take with you to the store. If you want to research a product, check out the reviews on Amazon.com, Consumerreports.com, or Epinions.com.
Pay close attention to posts written by users who have a badge under their names. The badge means that they are designated as a “top reviewer” Look for products that have a large amount of reviews, that way you know the product had a lot of exposure.

A good website for doing comparison shopping is Pricegrabber.com. If you find, select an item, and enter you zip code, you will get back quotes from various retailers. Once you have a price that works for you, than go to Sickdeals.net and see if there are any coupons for that item. You may also be able to get a small rebate by going to Ebates.com or Fatwallet.com. Thinking of buying a new car? Than make sure you check out these sites first. If you go to Consumerrereports.org, you can get a lot of great car reviews, or for 5.95 a month you can use Consumer Reports advanced search tool were you can break down your choices by car type, number of passengers, price and miles per gallon.  There are also similar tools and ratings for free, but may not be quite as reliable at Edmunds.com  and KBB.com. If you’re trying to get the best deal Edmunds.com will arm you with the MSRP and the true market values of cars in your area. For 7.00 you can go to Cardeals.org  and get a report that comes out every other Wednesday and tells you what the current incentives that the manufactures are offering. If you subtract the incentive from the invoice price you will have a good starting point for you negotiations.
